Tender Notification for the Well Drilling Survey

Dear Sir,

 

   Our company, Kokusai kogyo Co., Ltd., is conducting the top homepage titled groundwater study sponsored by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) in the Middle Awash River Basin in Oromia, Amhara and Afar  Regions. This study aims at drawing up a master plan for water supply for small towns in the Middle Awash River area and preparing Hydrogeological maps of the area.

   For the purpose of evaluating available water resources in the study area, we would like to conduct the well drilling survey. Especially, the well drilling survey is conducted in order to obtain direct information on the subsurface geology of the area through drilling wells that are to be completed as observation wells for groundwater monitoring and water sampling. Various information on subsurface geology and aquifer characteristics should be collected during the process of well drilling (drilling, geophysical logging, pumping test, and water quality test). All the information will be used for the academic work of groundwater potential evaluation and thus the drilling work is expected to achieve outputs of appropriate level of quality.

We, Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd.(the Consultant), would like to inform you that we are organizing a tender of general competitive bidding for the Well Drilling Survey for the titled study in the Middle Awash River Basin area in Oromia, Afar, and Amhara Regions. The survey outline and tender schedule are shown below.

-12 well drilling and pumping test in Target area - Submission of geological samples, drilling daily report and weekly report, well water sampling, electrical logging, completion report and drawings	- The Mid. of January to the Mid. of July 2014	- Middle Awash River Basin   covering 3 zones(Arsi, East Shewa, West Hararge), in Oromia region, and a part of Afar and Amhara regions

Delivery of Tender document	29 November 2013   (30 Nov to 3 Dec: Inquiry    period)	The tender document will be delivered to your designated E-mail address in electronic format.
Tender (submission of quotation)	9 December 2013	The tender will be held at JICA Ethiopia Office(Mina-building) in Addis Ababa.
